Last week I heard an interesting tid bit on the radio from a nutritionist that I have found extremely helpful and wanted to pass on the advice. It's called the apple test and it's used to train yourself to learn when true hunger vs stress/boredome/PMS/etc. When you feel like eating or are about to open the refrigerator door, take a moment and imagine you are eating an apple. If you don't feel like you could physically eat an apple at that time, you aren't hungry enough to eat yet. If you can see yourself comfortably eating the apple, get yourself something to eat!
That little bit of info came from Calorie Counter. My problem is not smearing peanut butter all over that apple! Or having a big chunk of cheese with it! LOL!
